All attendees, speakers, staff, sponsors and volunteers are expected to comply with the following code of conduct to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for everyone.

Awwwards is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone attending or participating in the Awwwards conference. We will not tolerate harassment of or discrimination against anyone, regardless of gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability or physical appearance. Harassment can include offensive comments, disruptive behaviour during conference sessions, physical intimidation, stalking, following, photographing or recording an unwilling participant, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention. Sexualised language or imagery is not appropriate in presentations, exhibit stands, workshops or discussions (on or offline) at the conference and will not be permitted. Harassment of conference participants online or in electronic venues will be treated as seriously as physical harassment. If you aren’t sure what constitutes harassment, err on the side of caution and restrict your contact. Anyone engaging in harassing behaviour will be asked to stop immediately. We reserve the right to dismiss anyone from the conference without a refund for failure to comply with our anti-harassment policy. If you are being harassed or notice someone else being harassed, please contact a member of the Awwwards staff. We will be happy to assist in contacting the appropriate authorities as necessary and providing support to ensure anyone on the receiving end of these behaviours feels safe for the duration of the conference.

André Felipe Ribeiro


Andre Ribeiro is a Brazilian-born designer, now based in New York City. With more than 15 years of experience, he has worked at agencies in Brazil, London, San Francisco, and New York. He is currently a Design Manager at Squarespace and prior to that, Andre was a Senior Art Director at Huge Inc, working for a variety of clients such as Apple, Nespresso, Google, and Morgan Stanley, among others.

Linda Eliasen

Help Scout

Linda Eliasen is currently the Head of Design at Help Scout. She’s spent her career as an intern for [adult swim], an illustrator for MailChimp, and a product designer at Dropbox [Paper]. She’s fascinated by the complexity of emotions as they relate to design and technology, and she loves the challenge of distilling complicated techy stuff down to a thing that ordinary people can cherish and understand.

Leta Sobierajski & Wade Jeffree Studio

Wade Jeffree and Leta Sobierajski are a couple who share a taste for quirky aesthetics and crisp design. The studio combines traditional graphic design elements with photography, art, fashion, and technology to create satisfying and emotional visuals. Their work ranges from conventional identities to bizarre compositions, spanning all disciplines. They live and work in Brooklyn, New York. Their client list includes Adobe, Bloomberg Businessweek, D.S. & Durga, Google, Gucci, IBM, The New York Times, Refinery 29, Renault, Shiseido, Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, Target, Tate Modern, and UNIQLO among many others. In addition, Wade and Leta have given talks at conferences all over the world including North America, South America, Europe, and Australia.

Pamela Pavliscak

Change Sciences

Pamela studies our emotional relationship with technology. As founder of Change Sciences, she collaborates with organizations to craft emotionally intelligent experiences. As faculty at Pratt Institute, she teaches next-gen designers. Her work’s been featured in Slate, NPR, and Quartz and she’s spoken at SXSW and TNW. Her book, Emotionally Intelligent Design, charts a tech future with feeling.

Dan Mall


DAN MALL is a creative director and advisor from Philly. He’s the founder and executive director of SuperFriendly, a design collaborative that brings exquisite creative direction & design to the world’s most important and interesting organizations. Dan is an enthralled husband & dad, author of Pricing Design, and co-founder and CEO of SuperBooked, a service that helps you find work with a little help from your friends. He writes about design and other issues on Twitter and on his industry-recognized site,

Nicole He

Google Creative Lab

Nicole He is an artist and programmer who uses uses digital and physical mediums to explore the relationship between humans and computers with interactivity, playfulness, and humor. Her projects have been featured in outlets including The Guardian, BBC, Vice, and The New York Times. Recently, her work has been focused on experimental and creative uses of voice technology.

Khoi Vinh


Khoi Vinh is a designer, writer, and serial entrepreneur. He is currently Principal Designer at Adobe, where he is a lead contributor to Adobe XD, the company’s new end-to-end design and prototyping application. He is charged with aligning Adobe’s design initiatives more closely with its customers, its partners and the community. Previously, he was co-founder and CEO of Mixel, a groundbreaking mobile startup, and digital design director for The New York Times. He writes a widely read blog on design and technology at and lives in Brooklyn, NY with his family.

Val Head


Val Head is a Web Animation Expert, Author, and Design Evangelist at Adobe. She is the author of Designing Interface Animation, published by Rosenfeld Media, teaches CSS Animation on, and curates the weekly UI Animation Newsletter.

Gene Lee


Gene is the VP of Design at MailChimp, where he leads customer experience at the brand level. He works to align design with marketing, product, engineering, and customer support to drive customer loyalty and the continued love of the MailChimp brand.

Previously Gene was the head of UX Design at Sony PlayStation, leading a global multidisciplinary team responsible for PlayStation’s products and services across console, web, mobile, and VR. He has also worked for brands including Razorfish, Young & Rubicam, Landor Associates, Scholastic, and Nickelodeon.

Pablo Stanley


Pablo Stanley is Design Lead at InVision. He gives design workshops around the world focused on product design and UI animation. Pablo has a YouTube channel called Sketch Together with design tutorials, livestreams, critiques, and other random stuff. He also co-hosts a design podcast in Spanish where they interview Latinxs in the tech industry called «Diseño Cha Cha Cha.» Writer and illustrator of «The Design Team,» a comic series that follows the lives of designers working at a startup.

David Navarro


Spanish-flavored Brooklyn-based designer who makes things as Executive Creative Director at Ueno. Prior to Ueno, he helped brands and agencies worldwide as a designer and creative director such as Spotify, Heineken, Adidas and Google among others. Frequent speaker and lecturer, in his spare time he dreams to be a rockstar but his guitar playing sucks.

Michelle Cortese


Michelle Cortese is a VR Product Designer at Facebook by day and an adjunct 3D Design lecturer at Queens College by night. Previously a Design Technologist at Refinery29 and an Experiential Art Director at The New York Times’ Fake Love; she has exhibited work at CES, Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, Engadget Expand, and Sundance Film Festival.

Meagan Fisher


Meagan Fisher is a web designer, product designer, front-end developer, and speaker. She’s known for her love of owls, but is also crazy about slab serifs, coffee, and bold gradients. She’s been designing and building websites and apps for over a decade. In that time she’s been Creative Director to a few early stage NYC-based startups; as a freelancer, she’s partnered with clients such as Adobe, The University of Pennsylvania, Dribbble, Change.Org, Twitter, Campaign Monitor, The Audubon Society, and many more. She’s spoken at industry events in 18 cities in 8 countries around the world, and contributed to several noted design publications.

Tobias Frere-Jones

Frere-Jones Type

Over 25 years, Tobias Frere-Jones has created some of the world’s most widely used typefaces. His work is part of the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He has taught at the Yale University School of Art since 1996, and in 2013 he received the AIGA Medal for his achievements in design.

Henry Daubrez


Although I wasn’t meant to design and even less for the web, I am nevertheless Design Director and co-founder of Dogstudio, an international award-winning firm devoted to design, technology and all shades between those two disciplines. Over the last decade, I have worked to spread a culture of design based on quality, emotion and a sense of detail. It lead us to national and international collaborations with Microsoft, The Kennedy Center Washington, The Museum of Science and Industry of Chicago, Franco Dragone, and many others.

Carly Ayres


Carly Ayres is a partner at HAWRAF, an interactive design and technology design studio engaging people in new & interesting ways. From sound-reactive identities to mirrored selfie posters, HAWRAF helps brands have better conversations. Before HAWRAF, Carly worked humanizing AI and evolving the Google logo. She’s given voices to Fortune 500 companies & chatbots alike, and writes on design and ethics.

Denis Lomov

Red Collar

Denis is a co-founder and the Creative Director in Red Collar, a digital agency in Voronezh, Russia. Denis graduated from the faculty of computer sciences in 2009, and the same year he and his friend founded a design studio where they have been creating websites ever since. Denis is a juror at Awwwards and at a wide range of digital award platforms in and out of Russia: Golden Site, Rating Runet, SPECIA, Rating Bynet. Today Red Collar is the best agency in the world according to CSS Design Awards, and leader in the country by the number of international awards won — 64 over the last year.

Cap Watkins


Cap Watkins is a product designer living and working in Brooklyn. He is currently the VP of Design at BuzzFeed, as well as a blogger and lover of technology. Cap believes in thoughtful, holistic design solutions that get out of the way and empower people to accomplish more.

Gabriel Valdivia


Gabe is a Cuban Product Designer based in New York, currently exploring how technology could make people safer at Jigsaw. Prior to that, he spent 4 years at Facebook working on Social VR and content creation products, and another few years as Automatic’s sole designer where he worked on hardware and software for connected cars. He’s passionate about design mentorship, empowering diverse perspectives, and creating transformative experiences through the power of storytelling.

Sougwen Chung

New Museum, Google, Bell Labs, MIT Media Lab

Her work explores the mark-made-by-hand and the mark-made-by-machine as an approach to understanding the interaction between humans and computer. She is a former researcher fellow at MIT’s Media Lab and Inaugural member of NEW INC, the first museum-led art and technology in collaboration with The New Museum. She received a BFA from Indiana University and a Masters Diploma in Interactive Art from Hyper Island in Sweden.

Joshua Davis

Joshua Davis Studios

Since 1995, Joshua Davis, an American designer, technologist, author and artist in new media, has made a career as an image maker using programming, he writes his own code, to produce interactions with users and to generate visual compositions according to rule-based, randomised processes. Davis had a role in designing the visualisation of IBM’s Watson, the intelligent computer program capable of answering questions, for the quiz show Jeopardy. His work has been inducted into the Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, National Design Triennial 2006 «Design Life Now», and has work in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Reed Enger

Reed Enger is a product designer and historian. Reed is the founder of Trivium Art History, an arts & humanities platform designed for discovery, that shares 30,000 years of diverse human creativity with classrooms and art lovers around the world. Previously an Experience Lead at Huge in Brooklyn, Reed now works at Google, creating meaningful design systems and teaching machines to feel.

Lior Pinco


As a graduate of The Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University, Lior Pinco dedicates his career to cultivating the perfect environment for an ideal creative process. Whether it’s as a producer on various TV shows for Keshet Media Group, or in his current position as Design Director at Wix, Lior’s passion is helping creatives reach their full potential. Lior joined Wix in 2014, when there were only 40 designers working for the company, and played a key role in scaling the Wix Design Team to its current 150 designers, together working on all aspects of design, from branding, to product design, 3D and more.

Paul Hamilton


Paul is Design Lead at the New York studio of Ustwo, where he blends design, branding and strategic thinking to create unique and memorable products. He has explored the future of Maps with Google, shaped a classical music service for Universal Music, and evolved how sneakerheads cop shoes from Nike. He is a D&AD New Blood judge, and his work has been recognized by the IxDA and Webby Awards.
